Viewers must definitely click to enlarge to see the details of your lovely work here Linda - it's really special, and I just love it!Wish I had a jolly polka dot 'brollie' to use today - it's raining quite hard and I have to go out later, but definitely not picnic weather.Have a great day - Mary
I like this medium, haven't try it myself but it's probably not as easy as it looks, certainly you have to draft and plan and get the material and sew/stitch, looks simple but I think it probably takes a lot of work.I like the white dots red umbrella, and the angled sewing which works well as the rain, nice details have a lovely day.
I'm blown away by this ;-) – every stitch is exactly where it should be! I may just have to try something along these lines!
Linda, I'm such a fan of polka-dots! This is adorable. I have a polka-dot nightgown, bra, and socks!!!HaHa Need a polka-dot umbrella.
This is lovely. I like her hair blowing, it gives a strong feeling of the weather. The stitching adds to the paint, nice. What kind of paint did you use, acrylic?
Linda,That is beautiful. What type of paints do you use on the fabric? I love the way her hair is blowing and beautiful colourful umbrella.BlessingsJanis
wow all stitched, very impressive work Linda, love your red umbrella!
What a fabulous take on the challenge, Linda! Applique and paint worked wonders. Love the windswept hair.... nice touch. We were on the same wavelength with the red with white polka dots umbrella. It pops. Enjoy the rest of your week. :)
Beautiful. I love how you did that.
Linda, this is so beautiful! I can see the work that went into this piece, and it's a joy to study!
I love how you've captured the movement in this with the stitching as the driving rain and the hair and scarf being blown in that direction. Such great detail.
Linda, I love it when you "go to stitches" on your art. Another great example here and how you get emotion and movement in such is truly incredible. I jsut love it. I wish you could have seen my 23 year old son's reaction, especially when I enlarged it. He was blown away! Fabulous. Thank you so much for adding this piece to this week's picnic. :) I love to see a variety of styles and mediums.
This is incredible, Linda. I wish I had the talent to sew and stitch as wonderfully as you do. I LOVE it! :)
